How to Use the Breckenridge E-Bikes

How to Use the Breckenridge E-Bikes

Whether you’re a Breck local or visiting for the weekend, the Breckenridge E-Ride program makes it easy (and fun) to get around town—without a car and without breaking a sweat.

Here’s everything you need to know before you hop on:

Step 1: Download the App

Start by downloading the Breck E-Ride app from your app store (available on iPhone & Android).
This is where you’ll find nearby bike hubs, unlock bikes, track your ride, and pay.

Step 2: Choose Your Ride Option

You don’t need to commit to a full membership—there are options for both locals and visitors:

  • Visitors: $4 unlock fee, then $0.50 per minute
  • Locals: Can purchase seasonal or annual memberships through the app

Want to take your time? You can pause your ride to grab coffee or check out a view—just know the per-minute fee keeps running.

Step 3: Pick Up at One of 30 Hubs

There are 30 e-bike stations around Breckenridge, so you’re almost always near one—whether you’re in town, at the ice rink, near City Market, or just leaving a trailhead.
Use the app to find the closest available bike and check for return stations near your destination.

A Few Local Tips

  • The bikes are pedal-assist, not full throttle—you’ll still pedal, but the motor makes hills much easier
  • Wear a helmet and follow the flow of traffic (especially on Main Street)
  • Return the bike to a designated hub to avoid extra fees
  • Riding at high elevation? Go slower at first and hydrate!

The Best Part?

No parking stress. No gas. No traffic.
Just a breezy way to get around, take in the views, and experience Breck a little differently.

Thinking of relocating here? Or just want to live more like a local while you’re visiting? The e-bike share is one of the easiest ways to explore town and I’d be happy to share more hidden gems you can cruise to.
